Giveaway winner

The winner of my giveaway is................TRICIANA BURKE!!  Congratulations :)

A big thanks again to all of my wonderful followers and new arrivals!
We are incredibly appreciative of all of your support :)

We've also had the pleasure of adding two more locations that carry my jewelry this month. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts houses a 3000 sq ft retail space full of local and national artists work for sale. I am incredibly excited to join this prestigious group!!

I will also have my work displayed at the Ghost Gallery in Seattle. :)

They are located on Capitol Hill and display works from many artists around the U.S.
I am thrilled to add both the gallery and museum to our growing list of sales partners!!!

One other bit of news.....I am the featured sponsor for Purl Bee this month and along with that I am giving away 8 pairs of earrings to their readers. If you'd like to enter their drawing click here. You have until tomorrow to enter.

I've been otherwise just tucked in my studio working away and getting our boys ready for school
can you believe that summer vacation is already gone!!!??

We've also managed to get out of town for a few short trips that always helps invigorate us. We love to travel like I've mentioned a gazillion times ;) and visiting local areas is no exception. It's also getting easier and easier for us to travel now with the boys getting older. We definitely don't have to pack, anymore, like we're moving each time we leave the house for a night. ha!

Okay I'm off..................back to work :)
Have a great day!

Thank you, thank you to all of you who snatched up many of my new pieces!

The response has been WONDERFUL.

The ring above is the last one that I have and I put that puppy in my website shop and can be found here.
I really like to make cocktail rings and I keep telling myself to make more because they never, ever last long in my shops.

The 'company of circles' necklace above is a new version of my old design that I love a little bit more. I have had so many people ask me to bring that design back....
It's bib-like in its design, which for any of you who follow fashion know, is a popular trend. However, this one is very unique in that it is all sterling (most bib necklaces have many embellishments, textures and materials) and very streamlined.

This pair of earrings is a bit dark and edgy....which I like :)

I am often asked to create pendants out of my earring designs that I decided, this time around, to have the necklace already in my shop. I have a pendant of the same design as the earrings above.

A new cuff!
I've been playing with a new textured matte that I am incredibly fond's a bit of a cross between a sandblasted and brushed finish and you can kind of see it above.

So the earrings above and below, I have to say, are my favorites.
As much as I love the others......these two, I adore just a bit more.

So I'll be back within the next few days to give an announcement that I'm sure you will like :)
My newsletter recipients were already given the heads up in July.

Have a great day!
I'm off to work on a ginormous order for a gallery in Virginia.
(I've been practically living in my studio and will continue to for several more days ;)

Lots of updates...

Hello :)
I've been gone awhile.........from here anyway.

I've been spending lots and lots of time in my studio, interlaced with visiting family that have been in and out of our house for just over a month. It's been a wonderful yet hectic time.

So much is happening on the business front, not least of which is the wonderful onslaught of shop and wholesale orders. I have had several more galleries come on board in the last month. Summer is supposed to be slow (knock on wood) so this means that Norbert and I are gearing up for a busy Christmas season since now!

Yesterday, I spent the entire day finishing up pieces, then photographing and editing them.
It also happened to be our anniversary so at the spur of the moment we decided to ditch the listings and head out and celebrate. What were we thinking anyway?? Ridiculous to ignore this important day!

So here I am, yet again, finishing up listings the following day.
Oh well. I have a good excuse ;)

To be honest, I've decided to stop sweating the small stuff.
As long as I know that I am working hard and moving forward then that's really all I can ask of myself.
I used to get upset about quite a lot until everything kind of came to a standstill back in February when I had my health scare. A lot of it was a result of stress. That was about the time I decided that it's up to me in how I view and react to my work (this applies to every area of my life, actually). It just made no sense to me that I would be so stressed and unhappy when I was doing exactly what I wanted to do in the world.

That's when the shift happened. And now I breathe deeper.....and appreciate so much more.
I don't want to stop what I am doing.
Owning our own business is not easy.
I knew it wouldn't be.....but it's incredibly, incredibly gratifying.
And I have continuous moments of excitement.

And now, I am thrilled to be so busy.

So here is some of my new work.
There are about 27 pieces in total.

And now it's time to list.
I'm going to try very hard to get it all done today....

Along with giving the boys a snack, talking on the 'phone' (block of wood :) with all of their friends and family, reading books, playing with tinkertoys and making dinner......

My fingers are crossed ;)
